Our Work
Through film, podcasting, and conversation, we bring forward stories rooted in culture, resilience, love, hope, and the spirit of the underdog.
Each project is created with intention, curiosity, and a commitment to storytelling that stays with you.
Films
Some stories change what we know. Others change what we remember.
Our debut documentary, The Wait of HerStory, follows four women whose work has preserved history, strengthened communities, and moved culture forward, often without the recognition their impact deserves.
The film looks beyond what they have accomplished to explore what it has cost them, what keeps them going, and the weight they continue to carry.
The Wait of HerStory is just the beginning.
Stories in Motion
Some stories are captured on film. Others come alive in conversation.
Through podcasts, interviews, and moderated conversations, Jane Kellie Films brings voices and ideas forward with curiosity, heart, and joy.
Sit in on conversations with Dr. Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth, and film producer Will Packer, or pull up a chair at the Food Worth Forking table for food, dating, and real talk about life after 40.
From intimate one-on-ones to larger stages, these stories unfold in real time, created to connect, resonate, and move.
Behind the Vision
Hey There! I’m Laura Williams, founder of Jane Kellie Films. I’ve always loved a great story, the kind that makes you root for the underdog, believe in love, laugh out loud, or see something familiar in an entirely new way.
I created Jane Kellie Films to tell stories that are moving, joyful, overlooked, and capable of teaching us something about ourselves and the world around us.
At the center of it all is a simple goal: tell great stories, protect what makes them true, and work alongside talented people to give those stories the space they deserve to be seen, heard, and shared with the world.
