What does it cost to keep showing up for history when history is slow to show up for you?

From the Grandmother of Juneteenth to a woman who discovered her own family escaped slavery to Mexico,  our debut film, The Wait of HerStory  follows four women holding our history together. It’s a film about what that work costs them, and why they keep going anyway.

Hello, I’m Laura Williams, founder of Jane Kellie Films. I've spent over 20 years behind the scenes in music and media, helping other people’s stories reach the world. Inspired by the women in my family, whose strength carried more than most people ever saw, I’m now telling the stories we didn’t know we needed. The Wait of HerStory is the first, and it’s only the beginning.
